Potatoes are from South America while humans are from Africa. Potatoes reached Europe/Africa in year 1500.

agriculture has not made brains bigger, it has made them smaller

Good points Panchito.

Potato came in late.

But...

But fruits were not available all of the times so humans must have saved food for later use and the only foods that could be saved were starchy foods from sources like grains and root vegetables. And at time of eating these stored foods could not be eaten raw but cooked.

The "Original Sin" was inevitable.

RP, look into seaweed. Seaweed complements like a perfect key a fruit based diet. It is also abundant and easy to get and can be dried on top of rocks for storage. It was not contaminated back them.

Seaweed is a filter for ocean, so it's gross. Animals pee and @#$%& in ocean and it bathes in filth. Then bugs lay eggs on it as it's drying. The last pound of dulce, i couldn't eat because after hydrating it, there were so many larvae embedded in the organic seaweed. I dried itagain to save for the cats.
And the kelp i bought developed a strange fungus inside the unopened bag. All from an expensive organic company.
Yeah, it's a food, but it's nasty.
I get my iodine from a rock...nascent iodine.
No offense to seaweed eaters. Brian clement is very healthy with it.

As Doug Graham said somewhere. When was the last time you saw a family with children excited and jubilant about eating fresh raw seaweed at a dinner table.

If the food is not appealing in its raw form then ...

Go place a twinkie next to an apple and let the child choose. He will cry if you take the twinkie away and leave the apple. Junk makes people 'jubilant' not smarter.

Because Twinkies have artificial and deceptive flavors.
Even Eve was deceived in the garden of Eden by appearance.
That is why parents should keep their children away from the Twinkies.

Without parental supervision children would love to play with fire.
They would love to jump out of the balcony into the open air.

But it is not good for them.

So we have to train our children.
And we have to keep training ourselves to behave.
It is called Self Mastery.

Tai
I love brian Clement but because he has so mucb money to buy only the best, he's out of touch with the common man. Consider that algae must be tested with expensive lab equipment to make sure it's safe.

Money is no obstacle for brian. He only travels if he can stay with a sauna which he does daily.

I'm not doubting his research on blue green algae but how practical is it for every vegan?

Rp, thanks for the video. Brian C. says that fruit raises blood sugar but he is wrong. Look at tthe whole picture. Fruit can lower blood sugar. He is talking about the very short time when sugar is being delivered through the blood but the largest time is when sugar has been delivered and the sugar balance reaches homeostasis. Fruit will make the hypothalamus regulate blood sugar and lower it (if it was high) actually curing diabetes II. The trick is respecting the 80 grams liver capacity and understanding the tank concept. Eliminating sugar may worsen the hypothalamus sugar sensing role and possible raise it (hypothalamus need sugar to work). But there are other factors like insulin resistance that keep blood sugar high because insulin mechanism is inop.

...On the Clement

Quote

Today, the Clements are in their mid-60s and feel like 20-year-olds.

They raised four children on a raw food diet.

“When people hear raw food diet, they think just salad,” said Dr Clement. “Our children have never been deprived.

“Our diet has also included 15 per cent of cooked food; cooked beans.

“We make pizza in a dehydrator. We make cakes without sugar. This is not like a deprivation diet, and people love it.”

A typical breakfast for the Clements involves a lot of juice.

“You need a lot of fluid after sleeping all night long,” Dr Clement said. “We take whole food supplements.

“We may have a little bit of fruit. You don’t need very much. You need lots of nutrition, not lots of calories.”

He said today his children are raising their own children the same way.

It will be interesting to know what are the cooked beans they eat.
