These so called leaders are quite mad

I really think they should be put away in a locked room for their safety.
They are truly out of their minds
And disconnected from reality.

People will be asked to repeatedly self-isolate for 14 days at a time if they inadvertently come into contact with strangers found to have coronavirus, Nicola Sturgeon has warned.

The First Minister said they will be contacted and told to self-isolate, possibly away from their families in a hotel, if they have been in close proximity to a suspected carrier.

She raised the scenario of someone returning to work after secluding themselves for 14 days, only to be informed they have to self-isolate for another fortnight because they have unintentionally come into contact with a second carrier.

Unveiling a "track-and-trace" blueprint at her daily media briefing, she said it was possible "all of us will find ourselves being contacted and told to isolate on multiple occasions".

Admitting this would be "really tough" for the public to accept, she said this could happen even if the individual does not know the Covid-19 carrier and is unaware of having any contact with them.

The UK Government will shortly be trialling an app that will use Bluetooth technology to identify close contacts among its users, including strangers in shops and on public transport.

However, concerns have been raised that people in neighbouring flats and buildings could receive 'false positive' notifications as the connections can go through walls.

Pledging to be frank with the Scottish public, Ms Sturgeon also said it was "very unlikely" any of the coronavirus restrictions when they are formally reviewed on Thursday as the number of cases is still too high.

She delivered the warning as she published the Scottish Government paper on plans to set up a test, trace and isolate (TTI) system by the end of this month.

The document said Scotland will have to increase its daily testing capacity to 15,500 to support the strategy, up from around 8,350, and a small army of around 2,000 contact tracers will need to be recruited.

They will attempt to identify anyone who has been within 2m of a confirmed Covid-19 case for at least 15 minutes, who be asked to go into isolation to help prevent the virus spreading further.

But the blueprint admitted this would be "challenging" and interrupting chains of transmission will mean asking "close contacts, who may not even know the person with Covid-19, to self-isolate for 14 days."

The strategy's success depends on the "continued willingness of the population to do this", it said, before warning that contacts may "need to be provided with somewhere to isolate away from the rest of their household."

Pressed whether this could mean people having to leave their homes and stay in a hospital or hotel for a fortnight, Ms Sturgeon said this "could well be the kind of things we have to consider."

The First Minister said: "The bit that is going to be really tough for the public is the isolate part.

"Remember you may if you are contacted and told that you’ve been in close proximity to somebody with that virus you might not know who that is.

"It may not be someone you are aware of having been in contact with but you are going to be told to isolate. You may do that for 14 days, if that person turns out to be positive, you will isolate for 14 days."

"You might then go back to work for a week, and be contacted again and told actually there’s somebody else."

Several digital tools are being developed to help with the tracing programme, including the app, which people could download to their phones which could alert them if they have been near someone who later tests positive.

However, it is thought up to 60 per cent of the population would need to use the app for it to be effective, with Ms Sturgeon saying "old-fashioned contact tracing" would still be key.

The First Minister said "real and significant progress" had been made in suppressing coronavirus, but she could not foresee any of the restrictions being lifted.

Jackson Carlaw, the Scottish Tory leader, said: "If this test, trace and isolate drive will help ease lockdown then it's essential the SNP Government gets it absolutely right."

"This cannot just be another example of Nicola Sturgeon's Government saying one thing and delivering something considerably less.

Yes, the UK and all of Europe is much worse (more Liberal) than we are, for example in terms of PC and open borders/immigration crime rings/pedophile rings and all that good stuff. Their countries are going to hell.

However, my Governor was having a press conference today and said they're going to hire 1000 tracer people in my state and start testing and tracing as part of Phase 2, I think it is. Unless it's Phase 1.

This is mind-boggling. Why can't they just say - "Okay, everything's open, just go about your business, like usual. If you're older or have health issues or are afraid, just stay home if you want to. We'll take care of you if you need help."

Perfect example of why it's not about a virus

If it were about a virus they would do what you suggested.

Elites have money and power

Only thing left is control

They get off on it
