The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released new data last week that depicts how many Americans who have died from COVID-19 also had contributing conditions.

According to the report, only 6% of deaths have COVID-19 as the only cause mentioned, revealing that 94% of patients who died from coronavirus also had other “health conditions and contributing causes.”

The report reads in part:

Table 3 shows the types of health conditions and contributing causes mentioned in conjunction with deaths involving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death.

The CDC listed the following as the top underlying medical conditions linked to coronavirus deaths:

Influenza and pneumonia
Respiratory failure
Hypertensive disease
Diabetes
Vascular and unspecified dementia
Cardiac arrest
Heart failure
Renal failure
Intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events
Other medical conditions

Wow, just heard on the news on the radio that Trump's Tweet was removed. It was a Retweet originally from QAnon that only 6% of Covid deaths were from Covid.

I presume Twitter is removing Tweets which state such - even though that information came from the CDC itself!

Twitter removed a post that President Donald Trump retweeted Sunday because it contained a false claim about coronavirus death statistics, which violated the company’s rules.

The tweet, originally posted by a supporter of a baseless QAnon conspiracy theory, claimed that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released data that indicated only 6% of people listed as having died from COVID-19 “actually died” from the virus.

But that’s inaccurate.

In truth, the CDC data says 6% of death certificates that list COVID-19 indicate it was the only factor in the fatality. The other 94% percent of patients had, on average, two to three “contributing causes” mentioned in addition to COVID-19 on their death certificates.

Although the number of #COVID19 cases in most states continued to decline over the last 7 days, COVID-19 is widespread in many areas, especially the South & West. As of Aug. 25, the US reported nearly 1,000 deaths a day over the last week.

These contributing causes include pre-existing conditions such as heart disease or diabetes, which the CDC has long stated increase a person’s chances of dying from the coronavirus. In addition, factors such as pneumonia that may be caused by COVID-19 may also be listed on death certificates.

Just because these patients had other factors that contributed to their deaths does not mean that COVID-19 was not a major reason, or the major reason, they died when they did.

In fact, the CDC reports COVID-19 is listed as the underlying cause on the death certificate in 94% of these deaths.

It appears to me that the virus, (yes fresh we know there is no such thing IN YOUR OPINION), stirs up and exacerbates existing conditions to the point where the body is overwhelmed and can't deal with the debris. Many people die VERY quickly, within weeks, also damage is seen in the aftermath. People aren't dying of these pre-existing conditions, corona is an accelerant...

Like a bucket that is slowly being filled with various detriments, some carrying more weight than others, and finally boom - you're dead.

According to that logic, the same can be said for those with these - or other - 'pre-existing conditions' getting The Seasonal Flu or Pneumonia or anything else that pushes them over the edge.

THE BIGGER QUESTION - Why wasn't the Worldwide RESPONSE to all those other 'Epidemics' Draconian/Tyranical like this one is?

I'm glad that the CDC report stating that the Covid-19 death rate was actually only 6% - and that's questionable, too, of course - is all over the internet today, in all the news, including the Liberal Media.
