CDC official affirms coronavirus deaths really are coronavirus deaths

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention doubled down against rumors -- spread mostly on social media -- suggesting that coronavirus deaths have been greatly exaggerated.

People are misinterpreting standard death certificate language, CDC's top expert on mortality said. President Trump has retweeted social media conspiracy theories saying that only a small percentage of the people reported to have died from coronavirus really did die from the virus. They have pointed to death certificates that list other underlying causes.

But that doesn't mean the patients did not die from coronavirus, Bob Anderson, chief of mortality statistics at the CDC, said in a statement.

"In 94% of deaths with COVID-19, other conditions are listed in addition to COVID-19. These causes may include chronic conditions like diabetes or hypertension," Anderson said in the statement, provided to CNN by CDC. "In 6% of the death certificates that list Covid-19, only one cause or condition is listed," the statement added.

"The underlying cause of death is the condition that began the chain of events that ultimately led to the person's death. In 92% of all deaths that mention Covid-19, Covid-19 is listed as the underlying cause of death."

Other top health officials, including National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, have said that CDC mortality statistics are accurate, and have explained that just because a death certificate lists other conditions, it doesn't mean one of those conditions caused a death.

What the other conditions do tell doctors, Anderson said, is that people who have chronic conditions are more likely to suffer severe disease and to die from coronavirus.

Death certificates may also include acute conditions caused by the viral infection, such as pneumonia or respiratory failure.

You should live in Virginia - because you wouldn't be up against all the discrimination that you have to endure every day of your life. I feel bad for you. You're a Victim of Racial Discrimination aka Hair Discrimination eye rolling smiley

Virginia’s New Law Against Hair Discrimination and How We Got Here

On July 1, 2020, a series of employment protection laws went into effect in Virginia. These laws provide a variety of improved employee rights, including reasonable accommodations for lactating and pregnant employees, a bar on discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation, prohibiting state and local governments from asking job applicants about their criminal history, new wage laws, redefining racial discrimination to now include hair discrimination.

HB 1514 explicitly states that racial discrimination under Virginia law now includes discrimination against an individual because of “traits historically associated with race, including hair texture, hair type, and protective hairstyles such as braids, locks, and twists.”

Put another way, if there is discrimination because of someone’s hairstyle or texture, then Virginia law may consider that as a form of unlawful racial discrimination, whether it’s at school or in the office.

However, this new law will likely apply only when the discrimination relates to a hair characteristic that has been traditionally connected to race.

The Future of Hair Discrimination Law

Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Congressman Cedric Richmond (D-La) have introduced the CROWN Act of 2019. This bill bans hair discrimination in various situations and circumstances including the workplace.

For instance, this law would prohibit an employer from discriminating against someone because of that person’s hairstyle or texture, as long as the hairstyle or texture is commonly associated with a particular national origin or race.

Many other states have proposed their own hair discrimination laws. But given the BLM movement and the added emphasis on fighting racial discrimination in this country, there’s a good chance that many more states will follow with their own hair antidiscrimination laws.

********

Democrats - The Party of Victimhood.

And who are the perpetrators of these crimes? Why the Republicans of course. Then bring in the militants BLM and ANTIFA - and that's how you gin up the voting base. Throw in a Plandemic to usher in Mail in Voter Fraud and voila - you got rid of Trump angry smiley

I have no problem whatsoever even when I journey into conservative states like Arizona. It's all about self-confidence in who you are and how you carry yourself. Really, I've had dreadlocks longer than black folk, they can't judge me either. Indian Sadhu's (holy men), let their hair lock up and let it grow, it's antenna not a hairstyle.

I don't give a fuk what people think. Like a bunch of straight white mainstream thinking people have ANY impact on my self esteem, when they are on 5+ medications, cut off their ANTENNA because of peer pressure, went to school for years, and worked a demeaning job all their LIFETIME. I've spent the MAJORITY of my LIFETIME close to NATURE. Who's the LOSER and who can judge...?
