Sources inside and outside the campaign say don’t expect President Trump to accept reality and concede the race anytime soon.

Trump is dug in, sources say, feeling embittered that he has lost the race. Advisers describe Trump as grasping any straw that he sees reported on Fox News.

He may never accept this reality, one adviser conceded.

Another indication of how alone Trump is at the moment: Vice President Mike Pence's advisers are not eager to get the vice president behind Trump as he drags this out.

A source familiar with the situation said Pence wants to preserve his options for 2024.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom congratulated President-elect Joe Biden and his "dear friend, and now Madame Vice President-elect," in a series of tweets today.

"This was truly the victory America needed, to be the America we know we can be. From America’s largest state: Congratulations to the next President and Vice-President of these United States, @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris," Newsom tweeted.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo congratulated President-elect Joe Biden today following his victory over President Trump.

"This is a historic day. After the darkness, division and hate of the past four years, America has spoken and rejected more of the same. Congratulations to my good friend President-elect Joe Biden and to Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. Today we go forward in hope and progress," the governor said in a statement.

It's not over til it's over and it's not over as long as there are legal challenges, lawsuits.

The Fox News Decision Desk projected Biden to win both Pennsylvania and Nevada on Saturday, which exceeded the needed 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.

The iconic group of progressive lawmakers took to Twitter to celebrate who will be 46th president.

Tlaib went on to share multiple gifs expressing her excitement.

"Me, trying my best not to rub it in. I am really trying, but it is so hard," she captioned one showing Britney Spears turning around with a huge grin.

Tlaib later tweeted, "Breathe. Heal. Then, let's get to work."

"This past week made me appreciate the saying, 'every vote counts.' Watching the process unfold should help our country realize a vote matters. P.S. I'm good on seeing maps for a while, though," the congresswoman added.

Pro-Trump demonstrators, some of them armed, rallied in state capitals around the country Saturday after projections indicated that former Vice President Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election.

The rallies come as President Trump refused to concede the race and pledged legal challenges in a number of swing states over allegations of mail-in voter fraud. Some demonstrations were branded “Stop the Steal” events, where activists protested what they believe may be potential signs of voter fraud. Facebook banned a "Stop the Steal" group earlier in the day due to posts that contained calls for violence.

In Salem, Ore., and Lansing, Mich., videos shared to Twitter showed tense standoffs, shoving and shouting.

Police outside the Oregon State Capitol in Salem stepped in between fired up groups of pro-Trump and left-wing demonstrators, videos show. Other photographs show men standing in a quieter area of the Capitol grounds holding long guns.

Video from Lansing, Mich., showed police trying to calm down a group of armed people, some carrying pro-Trump clothing and banners, as they chant “Commies go home” toward people out of the frame.

Another clip showed a brief tussle between clashing groups on a sidewalk, although the crowds stepped in to pull fighting individuals apart.

Armed men also were photographed outside the Minnesota governor’s residence Saturday afternoon – although Gov. Tim Walz appears to have been out of town. Around 3 p.m. he tweeted a selfie with his daughter saying they had just finished a 5-mile run alongside Lake Superior, which is about 150 miles north of St. Paul.

Claiming that 'Trump is evil' or that he lies as all politicians do does not justify this.

From an international perspective Trump is certainly not the worst president ever:

Without Trump, the world stage will be poorer. Trump was good for world peace. He didn’t start a war anywhere, which is not something that can be said for most of his predecessors. Trump was a master of skulduggery — a farcical coup attempt in Venezuela, a ghastly political assassination in Iraq — but indeed knew where to stop when Iran rained a hundred missiles on the American bases in Iraq.

Trump claimed to be ever ready to have a battle but never had one. He vowed to unleash “fire and fury” on North Korea but ended up saying, “We fell in love”, after the [then] historic meeting in 2018 with Kim Jong Un. In reality, Trump unwittingly speeded up the processes favouring multipolarity.

What we must fear now is the 'business as usual' that is coming next:

Trump has not been defeated by a Bernie Sanders; he has been defeated by a corrupt political hack backed to the hilt by the large majority of the billionaire owned media, financed out of Wall street and with no intention of pursuing anything other than neo-liberal economic policies. It is also the firm re-establishment of the rule of the security state and the military-industrial complex. Trump’s instinctive isolationism made him an enemy of the security state interest which spent a great deal of time in trying to undermine its President.

With Biden we will return to business as usual, and that means war and invasions. Under Trump we have had no new wars started, even if he continued old ones with little control. Without Trump, I have not the tiniest doubt that Syria would have been bombed back to the Stone Age, exactly like Libya, and millions more people would have been killed. Irrespective of the undoubted damage Trump has caused inside the United States across many fronts, Hillary would have killed a lot more people. Just not Americans.

The Harris (Biden) foreign policy will be much more aggressive than Trump's has ever been:

The Biden campaign has worked tirelessly over the past year to channel the image of Joe Biden as a “serious person,” particularly on foreign policy matters. Biden, according to this narrative, is an elder statesman who grasps the intricacies of international politics. Trump, by contrast, is presented as an inept bull in a china shop who only speaks the language of “fire and fury.” Only Biden, we are told, can bring back stability around the globe.

Don’t believe a word of it. This carefully curated image of Joe Biden’s strategic acumen and geopolitical foresight is at odds with the former vice president’s own stated views and policy track record. The Harris (Biden) regime is likely to concentrate on foreign policy because it will, for lack of money, have trouble to be effective on domestic issues.
