fiber and breast cancer

Date: January 27, 2007 03:22AM Higher fiber diets are protective especially for younger women (for older ones, it might be too late to prevent cancer after a lifetime of bad habits, although I would like to think it's never too late to start cleaning up). To a raw foodist, this means more protection from whole f+v, less juicing.
[news.bbc.co.uk] These people are making a big deal about going from 20 g/day of dietary fiber to 30 g/day as is typical with many fiber studies. But I suspect (strongly) that at least 50 g/day is even better. Paleoman was estimated to have an intake of 100 g /day or more. Some of you might have difficulty leading a normal life with that much fiber for various reasons. I find 50g/day to be much easier than 75g/day but in truth it isn't something I track anymore. It's mostly guesstimates now. The study is too new to be indexed in pubmed and I haven't read it. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
