Some of the other subjects covered had more positive results, but the detox test came out negative. [www.bbc.co.uk] Gary Re: Does Detox work?

Date: February 09, 2007 12:54PM I personally believe in detox but agree there is a problem with the 'binge/purge' culture and so detox shouldn't be advertised to all and sundry.
As for detox coming out negative, I think it is because the toxicity won't rapidly change in that week, but the body's ability to cleanse those toxins will improve and that will be a more gradual process. But the BBC's ultimate advice that it is better to have a consistently good diet is right. You have to remember this programme is for the general public not people as specialised as those on this board. There are all sorts of legal caveats for what they can and cannot broadcast.
