Cocoa Powder?

Is cocoa powder raw? I'm fairly new to all this, and I just got a dehydrator for cheap at goodwill...so I'm making some raw cookies smiling smiley. I haven't eaten anything even close to junk food for probably about a year because I made the choice not to, but I really want to try some raw cookies. So can anyone tell me if cocoa powder is raw? And if so, does it taste like chocolate or what? I ask because I had someone mislead me and tell me that carob was just like chocolate without caffiene and well...I was later told otherwise after I expressed an EXTREME dislike for carob (as in I was sick to my stomach for hours).

Thanks in advance for letting me know smiling smiley

Unless is is specifically "Raw cocoa" powder then no, it will have been roasted, like all "mainstream" chocolate.

(Although I used cooked cocoa powder for quite a while when I couldn't get hold of raw stuff and I don't think using a small amount is much to worry about.)
