Help: Olive, Beans, & Sugar Cane Question ???

Date: April 10, 2007 07:06PM I need help please for the following food items.
I understand basically how Olives are manufactured by visiting this site [www.madehow.com] but they do not indicate which manufacture processes them without lye and just natural water and salt. Please advise as I have a strong yearning for Olives and want to make sure that I am eating them as Raw as possible. The other item I need to ask about is beans, my local supermarket is selling chicken peas, read, black, and other various assortment of uncooked beans. This might be a dumb question but are these truly raw? I remember my dad soaking beans overnight and then boiling them the next day. Would I be able to soak them overnight, similar to sprouting, and just make a paste with them? I am pretty confused as I am still learning about this. Lastly, my local supermarket is selling Sugar Cane sticks which I have no doubt are raw but am not sure if it is treated. Would anyone know about this? Thanks in advance. Date: April 11, 2007 04:52AM Olives: these are the yummiest, purest I've found: sundried peruvian olives, nice and meaty, with no salt or anything.
