For the raw athletes:

Does anyone here notice that in the warmer months, the need for outdoor cadio dominates and lifting weights indoors nearly ceases?

Just wondering if anyone else was going through this. During the winter, I am usually pumped to lift weights, but now that summer is coming, I found it very boring and I just wanted to be running around or cycling outside in the sun instead! grinning smiley

yes, i always feel that way. although i live in southern cali and the weather is usually nice, i still tend to want to workout outside than in a gym. i get bored real easy so being outside, i can do numerous things. i play indoor v-ball and now that it's really getting nice, i'd rather play beach v-ball. i love to ride my bike and do anything outside better than in a gym.

I totally ditched lifting weights and do yoga for my strength-training. I do indoor cycling training in the winter and then, ride outside when the weather breaks, which is May here LOL.

Ithink this goes for all athletes....especially here in canada - even when I was cooked in the summer you'd find me blading/biking and running OUTSIDE!!!

Ha,ha,

Yeah I see the fall/winter as a period of rest....I spent years fighting it but this year I decided to embrace it!

I love the gym - But only because I have a crush on a trainer there - I would feign lifting weights all day just to flirt with him.....
