can you grow almonds on your farm seeing they'll all be mandatory pasteurized this year? You could have underground speakeasies with raw almonds.

Serious questions. I don't eat almonds, but I supoort people who want them raw. Can you throw a few seeds around your farm?

Yeah...I heard about that. Things are crazy aren't they?

Yes! We can certainly grow just about anything here. I'll see if I can find a source and have a couple of almond tree seedlings sent to me! They don't always make these things easy! Ha! ha! I've already got a great Macadamia nut tree growing that I grew from a baby! These trees grow VERY well here in Florida!

We should all try to grow to grow them. Geez, it would be like selling weed!

This is frickin INSANE!! I still cannot believe they will have mandatory pasteurizing. I'm sooo mad!!

We have to do fight like hell to stop this!

Those fricken pigs who made this law, I hope they all burn in hell. Ok, well, maybe not, but this is nothing short of evil. Sorry. I just had to vent.

I think we should all support Davey Zee Man Mason Edenic Enterprises

Davey Man

raw almonds are still available here... also, I would suggest calling Anderson Almonds in California directly. I'm almost positive he will ship unpastuerized directly from his farm. He said many of his customers are raw foodists.

Nice thought though but I really think nothing has to be done illegally. It's the same thing as going to a farmer's market and the growers are allowed to sell their wares directly.

Thanks for the link, Morrisson66.

The grower says the growers don't have to pasteurize, just the buyers. That's weird. Then what is all the drama for, if we can just buy them direct from the farmers?

Suvine:

As stated above, almond trees do grow well in Florida.
As a matter of fact, there were some large almond trees about the height of ± a 2 story building growing not far from your neighborhood on the Baptist Hospital campus in Kendall. I haven't been down there in years and don't know if they are still around or have since been cut down, but I used to admire them.

They are sometimes seen growing in backyards, usually in neighorhoods that grow a lot of tropical fruit trees.

Wishing you vibrant health

Pistachio, I live in Coral Gables.

Kendall is really really far away.

Kendall is 5 miles away from you according to mapquest. Both places should have similar growing capabilities.

morrison,

Thanks for the link. Nice to know a source in case I want raw organic almonds after 9/07. Too bad these crazies want to kill everything but at least we do have a workaround.
