If I could have only one raw food book...

Date: April 21, 2007 11:06PM Which one should it be? What is the raw "bible", the one "everyone" uses and loves?
All the books I've looked up seem like they'd be helpful and like they'd have really yummy recipes, but I can't afford them all. Which one will help me the most now, in the beginning of my journey. I want something that will provide some inspiration. I'm looking for some tips/tricks for food preperation and basic recipes. Wouldn't mind raw nutrition information. Don't really need a juicing book, or books with lots of recipies that require special equipment. I have a Champion juicer, processor/blender, and a regular dehydrator to work with, and that's it. Hmm. May be a lot to ask of one book. Re: If I could have only one raw food book...

I just wanted to say to check out health food stores, I've seen raw food books in them. You can browse before you buy Re: If I could have only one raw food book...

poignant (his children died because of cooked food) and educational and very funny at times too. [cgi.ebay.com] oh, i just read the original post again - i didn't respond properly. the above is my favorite book. probably better would be doug graham's new 80/10/10 diet book as has been mentioned here many times. or any book that el_natural has written :-) Edited 2 time(s). Date: April 26, 2007 06:14AM She's in great shape!
[www.kathyfeldman.com] I was looking at her bars and thought if anyone wanted to body build with raw, this could be a good book. She eats nuts & seeds too! Her and authors Carol Alt & Natilia Rose are authors I think look better than any other raw female authors, and I think that speaks volumes. I don't have a raw guru, but I learn a lot from many different authors. Re: If I could have only one raw food book...

Date: April 26, 2007 07:19AM Carol alt is awesome but she eats raw meat, meaning beef carpaccio and sushi. I dont like fishy smell and I like cows and am animal acitvist so it is not an option for me. You are right she is beautiful. On the cover of her book she did have a little wide belly, no? i am so critical, i know, I see myself critically too Re: If I could have only one raw food book...

Date: April 26, 2007 07:45AM I think she has wide hip bones because you can see her bones popping out. She's also 45 or 46 in that book & I would say she looks hot...her live in boyfriend is about 14 years younger than her.
The raw cow is not my cup of tea, but in Europe it is quite popular with some beautiful models. Re: If I could have only one raw food book...

Date: April 27, 2007 03:55AM Wow! All these suggestions are awesome, guys. A couple hours away from me there's a big health food store with a huge book collection and a place to browse through them, so hopefully some of the books you suggested will be there for me to check out.
Thanks! Re: If I could have only one raw food book...
