Enzymes/PH balance..etc

Date: April 29, 2007 09:56PM I've only stuck to 100% 811 raw for maybe about 5 days now but my PH balance still sucks. I'm drinking vegetable juices, lemon juice, even added apple cider vinegar to my water and greensuperfood and still nothing. I actually had a problem with this a few month ago at the end of a long fast I was acidic so apparently all my "mineral reserves" were used up.
I'm thinking of adding in an Enzyme supplement..Sound about right? Any recommendations for one? I was going to do probioticse or kefir but I'm also using an internal cleansing product and they said it's pointless while using it because it just flushes everything out of the colon anyway.. Any other suggestions? Re: Enzymes/PH balance..etc

Ok, I'll clarify. I'm sticking to the "811" ratios and 100% raw but not doing it exactly the way Dr Graham says. Other than the PH question, it's still working for me compared to when I was just eating raw. I supplement with what I feel I need. My body is a mess. I don't even feel I'm healthy enough to absorb all the nutrients in the vegetables I eat so I also supplement with fresh juices. I added in the ACV and superfoods trying to see if my PH would change. > what would you think if i suggested that you stop > worrying about your pH? I'd think that might work for you but not for me. Especially since you've probably been raw for a while, no serious health issues and if you were to test you'd probably be "alkaline. You don't know any health problem I might have and have to worry about. "convince the body to do something that it doesn't necessarily want to do"... Well, maybe there's some things that my body can't do that it should be doing. > you seem to be falling into the conventional > thinking of trying to do something to micromanage > your health, when health is the outcome of normal > things Not really. I don't supplement with every little thing like vitamin C for this, vitamin B for that, bunch of herbal remedies for this and that, etc. Edited 1 time(s). Date: April 29, 2007 10:34PM I DO NOT THINK cleansing programs flush probiotics from the system.
when i have acid ph, i take some probiotics specifically one which comes from Natren...three specific strains, sold by natren, actually..they come in a powdered form and can be mixed with distilled water and drunk when you feel acid. Works for me most of the time. if i still feel acid, i try a very dilute vinegar and water drink. i find that some greens make your systme acid..the processed ones..There may be something in their processing system which does this.. By all rights, greens should always help your system alkanize.. Alfalfa usually does. also do green smoothies made mostly with greens and perhaps some apple. hope this helps alice Re: Enzymes/PH balance..etc

Date: April 30, 2007 02:36AM Raw foods should definetly make the body alkaline over time. How long have you been raw for? Did you just start? Give it a bit of time. Just started my rawfood journey and blogging daily about it here: [journeyforhealth.blogspot.com] Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
