Date: June 08, 2007 07:42PM Not. They aren't raw, they are treated with non-raw oils, and they are made from seedless (nutritionally inferior duds) grapes, you realize. Maybe you could buy them specialty from a truly raw/sundried/organic website, but fresh seed-bearing fruit is better. Date: June 11, 2007 08:47AM Currants are not usually treated with oil. What temperature thay were dried at can be unkown, but I still eat them.
In some places you can buy dried muscatel (I think) grapes, which dry naturally on the vine and have seeds. They are delicious but hard to get hold of, depending on where you live of course, they were easy to find in southerm Spain.
