Date: August 04, 2007 03:09PM you'll need to find "food-grade" essential oils. I know that Young Living Essential Oils carry many "food-grade" oils and you can find them on-line. Food-grade oregano you may be able to find at a health food store as its therapeutic use is well-known.
I have a friend who is heavy into aromatherapy and essential oils and we were browsing Young Livings' catalogue recently and I made the comment that essential oils may be quite good in raw cuisine. But as they tend to be rather pricey, I havent' purchased any yet, or tried them on my food. khale Re: Does anyone take essential oils internally?

Date: August 05, 2007 02:02PM That's funny, we just had this conversation last night, a friend had made chocolate cakes using orange and mint essential oils - the consensus seemed to be that in very small amounts they would be safe to use (as long as it comes from an edible plant that is)

Date: August 05, 2007 05:38PM I use Young Living essential oils internally, topically, etc. I trust Young Living. Thieves essential oil is great for kicking out colds, flu's, etc. Put Thieves essential oil in a capsule, swallow it with water and watch the magic happen!

Date: August 06, 2007 03:15PM gabriel cousens "rainbow living food cuisine" has a chapter on essential oils for food. I will look into young living essential oils. i have spoken to a few aromatherapists about this, each with a differing opinion. the french aromatherapists are big into internal use!
