i just started sprouting yesterday and i already have some nice buckwheat sprouts going.

check out sproutpeople.com for all the info you need on sprouting. im using the easy sprout sprouter but there are other ways of sprouting.

buckwheat is not related to wheat, and is not actually a grain... but its rich in quality protein and other nutrients.

im plan on experimenting with different types of sprout milks.

The suggestion about the sproutpeople is good. I started there and then bought a mason jar with a sprout lid locally. I sprout alfalfa. I've seen where I left soaked garbanzo beans or wheat berries in the refrigerator and they sprouted, too.

With the sprouting, I think the most important part is to make sure that the seeds don't sit in water all the time. They will mold that way. It's easiest to rinse the seeds at least twice a day and then allow them to do their own thing. If you're sprouting alfalfa, you might want to put the jar near a sunny window when they have leaves so that they get the green chlorophyll in the leaves.

Good luck.
Therese
