Date: January 14, 2008 06:24AM I've noticed organic bananas have a better texture and are more perfumey than the conventional. I can't go back to conventional ones now.
Bananas and I have a silly relationship. Sometimes I love them, sometimes I can't stand them, and for the occasional sweet treat, I'll throw them in the blender with some cacao nibs and strawberries. Either way, they are a partner for life. =) Re: Bananas

Too fast for what? When you're eating little or no overt fat (10% or less of calories) the sugar comes in and goes out fast from the body. It's almost impossible then to get too much sugar from fruits. The body will let you know when the sugar levels are raised enough when eating simple carbs from fruit and the hunger will cease.
I don't know so much about the micro- but the macro nutrient carbohydrate does increase when matured despite picked green.
As every other fruit through evolution. a natural hybridization occurs and mankind has wanted to grow the seeds from the sweetest tasting fruit.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean. They are so good I want them everyday, yes.
Ripening is causing starch to convert to simple sugar. People are designed to handle the small amounts of starch in fruits. If one only ate one sort of fruit and nothing else it would not be good for your health in the long term. I'm sure there can be found a similar long list of problems that would arise. I'd like to eat the food that causes the least problems. I can create a similar list about pizza or just a grain. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/14/2008 09:27AM by rrraw. Re: Bananas
