my radish sprouts look furry, help!

Date: February 15, 2008 11:10PM Hey guys,
I forgot to rinse my radish sprouts this morning & when I got home this afternoon they seem to have grown little cilia/ hair like fibers on all of them. This is my first go at radish sprouts so I was wondering if this is normal for the radishes, or if it was my bad forgetting to rinse them and maybe it's mold or something, but I highly doubt that because the alfalfa which I also didn't rinse looks fine. Does anybody have any experience with this? Thanks Re: my radish sprouts look furry, help!

Date: February 16, 2008 12:08AM Certain types of sprouts will do that, the same thing happened to me (can't remember with which batches, I have so many). All the sprouts I've had so far have been alright if I (unfortunately) miss a chance to water. There's nothing like sitting up in bed, after you're all warm and cozy and the house is cold, "...I have to water my sprouts." Re: my radish sprouts look furry, help!

i remember the first time i saw root hairs and thought they were mold, ha ha! freaked me right out. Re: my radish sprouts look furry, help!
