Cacao Powder and Butter

Date: March 26, 2008 02:35AM Is it odd for a local co-op and a Whole Foods to NOT carry Cacao Powder or Cacao Butter? Or was I mistaken that I would easily find these items there? They kept trying to give me cocoa powder! They did have one version of cacao butter but it had coconut oil in it.
I have a friend coming over for a raw meal and she loves chocolate pudding. I was hoping to make it for her, but... Re: Cacao Powder and Butter

Date: March 26, 2008 03:09AM Just so you know, cacao and cocoa are just two spellings of the same word. (Although of course usually the raw version is called cacao and the cooked version cocoa, this does not have to be the case).
