Posted by: Lorretta ()

HiI want to juice wheatgrass, fruit, veggies and also make nut butters, ice cream etc.

I was considering a champion plus a manual wheatgrass juicer.

Whilst researching, i found the green Kempo power juicer

Has anyone bought this model, if so would you pass on some feedback

Thanks

I bought a kempo juicer 10 months ago. I use it to juice vegetable mostly green leaves so I could not comment on other things it may do. I like it because it is lightwight, quiet and very efficient in juicing leaves. Juice bowl has magnetic technology to conserve juice. I travel at lot and it easy to carry. For its size and the work it does it is one the best juicer

Hi djatchi,
Thanks for your post.

I have ordered one. It appears to fit my requirements. Lightweight, quiet, the multifunctions and easily transported helped me make up my mind!

Is this basically a Greenstar but with a smaller motor?

Yes the motor and the blades are smaller. I have greenstar but prefer to take the kempo with me when I travel and I do a lot of travelling.

Because the kempo is smaller than the Greenstar, does it take longer to make jice from produce> Also, how is the juice quality? Does the kempo leave the waste veggies/fruits as dry as the Greenstar?

Lorretta djatchi, what are the model numbers of your Kempo juicers?

Also does anyone know how to edit a previous post so that I do not have to write another one should I forget to include something?

Thank you!

I have to double check when I get home but it must be GPT-E1303
If the post was yours, there is an edit post on the far right bottom of the message, just click on that to edit the post and then click on save changes

The kempo is smaller than greenstar but the rotation per minute rpm is faster compared to the greenstar, I think it is about 160 and the greenstar is 110.
I was concerned about that before buying so I called the manufacturer and they told me that according to their research there was no lost of nutrient at 160
I mainly juice green leaves so the waste is very dry.
One problem I have while juicing green leaves is that sometimes I like to add some fruit and I do not like to change the juicing screen to the fruit screen and the result is not as dry as I want it but this just me not following the instructions

I used a Samson Ultra years ago and hated it. It is the same juicer as the Green Power Kempo. I found the gears too small to do any serious juicing. The carrots were difficult to push through. Plus, the wheatgrass produced a lot of foam. It was also difficult to clean, not because of the number of parts, but because of so many cracks and crevices, especially the gear shaft holes.......Wheatgrass Yogi

The newest Kempo juicer has two pairsof gears. One pair you use for the fruit and veggies and the second pair (which you have to replace the veggie gers with), for wheatgrass; so I guess that there would be less foam in the wheatgrass juice. As far as the nooks and crannies issue and the gears being too small issue... those are interesting, I am glad you brought that up.

Comments anyone?
