Date: November 15, 2006 02:43AM Dear all,
I have been blending my wheatgrass as the juicing gives me far too little.Hwr, I read somewhere recently that blending destroys the chlorophyll. Is this true? Also, I once in a while have a tea or a coffee - does this destroy the effects of wheatgrass? Thanks! Anu Re: Blending vs Juicing

Date: November 15, 2006 01:39PM blending is really aninferior method of getting juice from wheatgrass. green star is the wheatgrass king! you won't believe how fast it juices the wheatgrass leaving only a bone dry pulp.
as far as destruction of the chlorophyll, i'm not sure. if you like a liyttle coffee or tea, i doubt if it will be destructive in any major way. i would recommend taking the coffee black as the cream and sugar may be a bad combination. dont worry too much abojut little details they will only slow you down. get into it and start doing it...you will see and learn things along the way for improving. go for it! jj Re: Blending vs Juicing

Date: November 16, 2006 01:33AM Thanks for the suggestions and support! Only problem about the juicer is that I am in India and can't get hold of green star (the wheatgrass king!) So have to look for alternatives...The one I use currently is hard to clean and is designed mainly for fruit/veg rather than grasses...hmmm....Meanwhile shall continue with this until something appropriate comes along. Date: November 16, 2006 01:09PM in that case you may want to look for an online source for a manually operated wheat grass machine. they are rather slow and labor intensive, but they do fine for small quantities. z-star is the one that comes to mind. although i do not have one, i have seen them in operation and they work really well.
