Hello everyone,
Im very new to RAW FOODS and I have a question. I myself want to go on a diet and I really think the idea of juicing would be great for me.....but can I not make sweet type smoothies...... if you have some cool recipes......please send them my way..
Thanks

i prefer a more *savory* type smoothie to *sweet* .. i never have had a sweet tooth i gravitate more to salt

Ingredients
5 stalks spinach
½ bunch fresh dill
juice of one small or 1/2 large lemon
¼ cup sundried tomatoes, soaked
¼ ripe avocado
dash of sea/himalayan salt
2 cloves garlic (adjust + / - to taste if you hate/love garlic)
4 stalks celery
1 cup water

PLEASE EXPLAIN???? : )

Ok everyone, I HATE to sound stupid and ask BUT in your "Green Smoothies" are the greens just blended (in a blender) or are you all juicing your greens and THEN adding to the blender with the rest of your ingredients?

*THANKS BUNCHES*

Kim

all my stuff is blended no juicing then added...i tend to blend the watery stuff first .. adding in denser stuff like avo's an figs at the end so its not so tough on my poor little blender smiling smiley

I do everything in the Blender with added water.
If you want to take your Diet to the 'next level' (according
to Tonya Zavasta, author of "Quantum Eating"winking smiley, you'll eliminate
water from your diet completely, and use Vegetable juices. I like
Carrot and Celery, but still use water for my Green Smoothies.
There's always something to improve. A 'key' for me is to remember
"If there's no future in it, don't do it".....whatever 'it' may be......WY

Thanks WY!!! ---- Thanks Jodi!!!

WY - I am familiar with Tonya Z. (love her!) but I love my water so I am not giving that up...I believe pure water is good for me and I can't afford enough vegetables to satisfy my thirst ; )

Your smoothie sounds sooo yummmy...I have to try it sometime!

BTW, I love your metal bowls full of wheatgrass...looks beautiful & delicious! As soon as I buy a....what's the word for it....wheatgrass press???? then I will start growing my own --- HOWEVER --- I did try a shot of fresh picked-pressed wheatgrass one morning at Jamba Juice and I have to say that the taste was NOTHING like my wheatgrass powder (which I LOVE LOVE the earthy grassy non-sweet flavor of). The fresh wg juice was a little harsh on my palate with a sweet after-taste & my stomache! Is that normal????

THANKS!!!!

Sincerely,

kim
