Date: December 08, 2007 02:37PM I bought some Organic Dried Baby Lima Beans. Strange thing, they're White. I soaked 3 Tbsp. overnight (pouring off the soak water) and had them in my morning Green Smoothie in place of the usual nuts or seeds. Has anyone else tried Dried Beans without sprouting them first?......WY Re: Dried Beans in Smoothies

I've decided to try to sprout the Lima Bean Seeds. If they sprout, I'm going to continue to use them in my Green Smoothies. If they don't sprout, I'm going to throw them out. I can remember, years ago, going through a 'Bean Sprouting' stage (Mung, Adzuki, etc.). It's fun to experiment......WY Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/09/2007 10:49PM by Wheatgrass Yogi. Date: December 10, 2007 03:08AM I use sprouting beans in my smoothies but I do not use them unless they have sprouted for at least a couple of days. They still have plenty of enzyme inhibitors coming out of soaking, if your were to eat they will be difficult to digest unless they have sprouted for a couple of days Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
