Hi,
I want to experiment more with juicing.I have a champion and it works well.
Can I juice regular, convential grown Sweet Potatoes? Is it ok for me and will it cause damage to machine?

Also Beets? They r real hard. How do I prep them for juicing?

Thanks,
KIS

hi keep it

i never juiced sweet potatoes so someone else can chime in about that

however, beets really are kind of hard on a machine like champion

though they are usually not a problem in centrifugals that seem to thrive off of hard stuff

for champion, the smaller u cut the beets , the less strain on your motor

either that, or push them through very slowly and gently

last of all, the most ESSENTIAL thing that you must have possession in your

mental data bank is this:

have fun

My KK grinder does beets just like carrots with the greatest of ease and fast.

I tried sweet potatoes and yams both this weekend for the first time. Both went though like carrots. But there is very little juice in them. A lot of pulp was left after pressing and repressing. The juice was very sweet.

It's good to experiment, but Sweet Potatoes
and Beets are not good candidates for Juicing. SP don't
yield much juice and Beets make a big mess, in addition
to being hard on your throat.
I like Wheatgrass, Celery, and Carrots.
Your Champion won't do Wheatgrass, but will do Celery,
and Carrots, very well......WY

I disagree with beets, they do make a lot of mess if not carefull but are extreemly powerfull. Check walkers book.

El...You can deal with Beets if you want
to, but I don't like the Red Stain that gets everywhere.
Plus, I don't feel they're that good for you. Beets are
just too strong for me. Wheatgrass Juice is strong too,
but more beneficial, if you know what I mean......WY

you could catch the sweet potato pulp and use it in another recipe.

i shred beets by hand and put onion rings olive oil lemon and himalaya ss. teo big beets makes a meal and its easier to take than juice.

lots of times i use this recipe to break a juice fast.
