Sharp Sharp blender blades

Date: October 15, 2008 11:47PM It's time to replace my worn out blade assembly for an old Hamilton Beach blender. Does anyone use razor sharp blades on their blenders? Re: Sharp Sharp blender blades

your blades? I just looked at my Vita-Mix Blades. They're sharp, but not Razor Sharp. I sometimes get little stones in with the Sea Vegetables I use. They make a very noticeable sound while the blending is taking place, as well as putting pockmarks on the blade itself (and also gouges on the Carafe). Thank goodness it doesn't happen very often.....WY Re: Sharp Sharp blender blades

Some blenders (Oster) are being offered with sharp blades and some "razor" sharp but not many. For my Hamilton Beach I would have to sharpen the blades myself, or have it done by a knife sharpener. I've tried sharpening blender blades and found smoothy texture improved.. especially blending coarse root veggies like dandelion, where I would also get grit which would dull the blades. loeve Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
