Date: November 01, 2008 09:06PM Hi,
I am having a hard time figuring out if the Vita-Prep 3 has a dry blade option or not. I can only seem to find a reference to one blade and they call it a wet blade. So, is this blade made for dry blending too? Thanks! Re: Vita-prep 3 dry blade?

Date: November 01, 2008 10:50PM The Vita-Prep 3 doesn't have a dry-blade option when
purchasing the blender. However the dry-blade for the other models of Vita-Mix will fit the Vita-Prep 3......WY Re: Vita-prep 3 dry blade?

I got into generic blender blades recently looking for a replacement.. it looks like the Vita-prep wet blade is a "food blender" blade designed to be sharp for cutting and also able to pulverise ingredients.... a multi-task blade, fine for wet and dry blending, especially with the 3HP Vita-prep 3, a machine designed to power thru food. If one would like the convenience of a second carafe, then one might consider the Dry Blend Container by Vita-mix [www.foodnetworkstore.com] , where both the blade and container are designed with dry blending in mind. Maybe someone with a Vita-mix could comment further... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
