Date: November 13, 2008 05:07PM Hi guys,
I currently own the breville juice fountain elite. It is not that great for leafy green and citrus fruits. So I am thinking of buying the citrus press. How good is to juice the greens? I also juice ginger and garic and cilantro etc. What machine is good for these? Thanks. Re: breville citrus press

It even won a prestigious design award. Many people, just looking at it, wouldn't realize it is motorized. Sorry, but it only does Citrus.....WY Re: breville citrus press

So what is the best juicer for greens? I currently bunch em up and juice them in the Breville elite. What is the best juicer for ginger and garlic? Re: breville citrus press

I think the best all-purpose juicer is the single-auger Omega 8003 (doing everything fairly well). However, many here 'swear' by the twin-gear Green Star. The Best juicer has yet to be made.....WY Re: breville citrus press

Date: November 19, 2008 02:57AM I have a Jack Lalaine juicer and feel it does relatively good with greens... Maybe I just haven't seen what a masticating juicer can do, but I don't think that the centrifugal juicers are as bad for it as some people think. I mean, you're going to get a lot more juice from something like a carrot or celery stick than leafy greens will give you. Re: breville citrus press

Date: November 19, 2008 04:16PM The best way to juice greens is to blend them in a high speed blender than pour through a nut milk bag and squeeze! Nothing gives you drier pulp and less waste!
That said, I have the breville juice fountain elite and use that instead because while there is more waste, it is more convenient than squeezing! Also have the greenstar but that takes far too long to clean! The Breville citrus press is nothing short of amazing! You can juice lemons, limes, grapefruits and oranges all without getting your hand all juicy like the typical electric citrus juicers do. Also SO fast!!
