I am new to the raw food world and really love it. I am looking to get a new blender, since my $20 cheapie one, just ain't cuttin it. Literally. So I can't spend $450 on a Blendtec or newer Vitamix model... so how about this older Vitamix Model.... Vitamix Turboblend 4500 Counter Top Blender? Re: Vitamix Turboblend 4500 Counter Top Blender

[images.google.com] My best advice would be pay the extra $100 and get the variable-speed dial of the Vita-Mix 5200. It puts more of you in control....WY Re: Vitamix Turboblend 4500 Counter Top Blender

I've only blended fruit in the old one at work, which is variable speed, but I've only ever used the high setting. So, for me, I'm thinking the 4500 would be good enough, since it does have low and high. Besides, where I'm going to purchase the blender from only carries the 4500. LOL!
