Vita-Mix Dry and Wet Containers

Sorry if this has been asked a zillion times before...!

I'm looking at purchasing a Vita-Mix blender and am confused about the additional "dry" and "wet" containers.

Is the dry container only user for milling grains to flour?
Or is it also used for oily seeds like nuts?

Can I use the wet container that comes with the device for making nut butters?
