long-term juicing + raw protein powder & fats?

Hi friends!

I have sort of a weird question involving basically juice fasting, but using raw protein powder (sunwarrior or somesuch) and raw fats (i.e. avocado) to make a 'juice-smoothie' once a day. I've done long (long!) juice fasts before, and I feel much much much better and happier when juicing. However, I can't do this *forever*, and had a really really tough time getting back onto solid food after my last fast (it wasn't a problem at all after my first four, but this last one was brutal). So, I'm too 'chicken' to full-out fast again, especially for that long, as I don't think what happened to by GI system was a positive thing.

BUT, I really want to be back juicing. So, I was thinking about basically juicing, but keeping my intestines active and making sure I get enough raw protein and fat to keep doing it semi-forever (I've had trouble making protein requirements while juicing before--I've counted, and I don't tend to make more than 15-20g on a good day). I also haven't been able to make myself drink oil in my juices (it just tastes gross!), so I've developed fat-soluble vitamin deficiencies on past fasts that I would like to avoid.

Has anyone tried this? I don't have 'issues' staying on a fast, so I think I could handle the not-asleep GI tract making me hungrier than a fasting person.

I appreciate any thoughts and advice anyone has--thank you for your support and time!!

In Light!

Chlorella powder is a great source of protein that many juice fasters/feasters use. And oils, as you've mentioned. It all really depends on your goals for the fast. Just do what you think is best for your health.
