"Yes, it is amazing that they always own
a Greenstar and a Blendtec....WY"

Yes, interesting - I have no clue who it is either.

But since you brought up the blendtec...

I had been considering getting one, but the more I look at the digital aspect of them, I don't believe it is what I want. I had a chance to use a digital oster recently & I didn't really care for it.

Guess I like to have more control with knobs I can turn & switches/buttons, lol! The thing that I did like about the Blendtec was the programmable settings that change the motor speed during blending, pulsing hi/lo.

That would be a neat feature to have, so I could walk away & do something else while it is automatically doing its' thing. I am starting to lean towards a Waring at this point, though; Does anyone know if the 3.5 hp claims are correct in their specs?

I can't seem to find a wattage rating anywhere on the Waring website or related seller sites.

I'm convinced it's Heat, not Crushing Speed, that
kills enzymes. I'm starting to add few ice cubes to my Smoothie
ingredients in place of room temperature water to keep things a
little cooler.
But whatever you Juice or Blend should be consumed immediately.
Brian Clement of Hippocrates Institute says Wheatgrass Juice is
pretty well void of nutrition 15 minutes after juicing.....WY

Well sorry to disappoint all of you who thought I was a troll. I have not repsonded since my original post because I have not been back to the site. I just found your site last week. Everything I said was true. I do not work for Green Star or any other raw food company. (I wish I did) I will not be a regular poster because that is not my thing. I am new to the raw food thing and feel that I have much more to learn than I have to share with people who have more experience with the tools etc.

In any other situation I would be wholly offended by your comments but I do understand the nature of these message threads and the opportunities for deceit.

With all of that said, I am trying to use my juicer more since I found you site. It still is a pain to clean whether I am talking on the phone or listening to music.

hey guys, i was curious about this, too, and found a video where the gentleman tested 2 juicers, a high speed and low speed extractor. he measured the temperature of the vegetable and the blade before and after juicing. the juice temperature increased barely a couple of degrees and was still only around 60 degrees Farenheit. From what's been said about temperature affecting enzymes, the temperature has to reach 118 degrees Farenheit to really make a difference.

go to www.doobareviews.com and scroll down to 'do juicers heat the juice and destroy important enzymes'.

i thought it was pretty interesting. hope this helps. smiling smiley
