Questions about caring Omega 8005 & 8006

Date: May 15, 2009 05:35AM I'm shopping for a juicer and pretty much have it down to an Omega. I was wondering if any experienced juice makers out there could tell me why it's better to have the "GE Ultem Auger which is 8 times harder" than the auger on the 8005. Has anyone had problems with the other auger? There is a price difference so I could save money on the 8005 if the auger thing is negligible. I understand that the new Omega model has a 5 year longer warranty.
Thanks--Rawbee Re: Questions about caring Omega 8005 & 8006

Date: May 15, 2009 05:39AM The harder auger should be better for Wheatgrass, so I hear, and also be less subject to wearing away, if this is indeed a risk at all in the softer auger. One individual expressed concern about the auger looking "worn", and if that plastic went in the juice, but was not positive. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/15/2009 05:39AM by Ebhak. That's how the plastic auger Juicers work...one part rubbing against another part to squeeze the juice from the produce. I'm somewhat concerned about plastic getting into the juice. The harder plastic auger or stainless steel twin-gears should be Best. Some of you may know that I'm using an Omega 8006 Auger with my Omega 8003 Juicer.....WY Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
