Champion Juicer and Dates

Hey everybody.

I recently bought a champion juicer. I saw videos on how easy it is to make nut butters and I tried it and it worked great, although it did heat up very quickly.

I tried to make Energy Balls and put dates in the juicer and it went bad.
The body heated up super fast, nothing came out of the shoot, and the machine started to click and shake. I had to turn it off and then tried again and the same result.

Anyone else have any luck or any suggestions with dates and Champion Juicer?!

Did you remember to remove the juicing screen and insert the blank screen (for pureeing things)? It's common for people to forget these things.
