Omega Juicers Comparison Test

Date: October 22, 2009 10:34PM I just received the new Omega VERT vertical-auger juicer from DiscountJuicers.com (it's the one on the left). Delivery time was excellent as all Omega Juicers are drop-shipped from Omega Products, Inc...Harrisburg, PA.
The juicer in the middle is the Omega 8003, and the one on the right is the Omega 4000. This weekend I plan to juice 2-pounds of pre-washed baby Carrots with each juicer. I'll post the results at this Forum under a new Topic. Happy Juicing to all.....WY [img.photobucket.com] Re: Omega Juicers Comparison Test

Date: October 22, 2009 11:04PM Oh my goodness I'm so excited for you ........ and for me too, 'cus I live just 1.5 hrs north of Harrisburg and just ordered my Omega VRT yesterday !!! I'm so anxious to try it. I'm sure I will love it for when I'm in a big hurry, but will probably keep my Green Star as well. I'm so anxious for your comparison review. Hurry and get crackin! (er.... I mean JUICIN' !! *LOL*) Will keep you posted when mine comes in too. =) ***************************** "Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... ------------------------------------------------------- > yea why do we gotta wait till the weekend I got the juicer too late today, and I'm busy tomorrow (I do have a life...of sorts), so Saturday will be the Great Omega juice-off. I've decided to juice two 2-pound bags of baby Carrots with each juicer. In addition to Yield, I'll also note juicing time, and cleanup time. At first glance, the Omega VERT looks like it will be the most difficult to clean.....lots of cracks and crevices.....WY Re: Omega Juicers Comparison Test

Is that what you mean? Be more specific....I don't have a kitchen scale, but could easily get one. Re: Omega Juicers Comparison Test

I might be slightly bias because I've been loving my Omega centrifugal for so many years now. However, I'll try to be objective. PD....you don't have any preconceived notions, do you?.....WY Re: Omega Juicers Comparison Test

I only have the youtube videos to go on by Matt Monarch, John from DJ, and from the standard Omega Juicer company videos. It was hard for those alone not to convince me. I anticipate the juice volume to be higher from the Green Star as compared to the Omega VRT, but I know that you are using another model for comparison and I don't even use centrifugals, so I don't have a point reference. But I'm still anxious for your report. =) Even if the VRT juice yield is slightly lower than my GS, I know I'll be pleased with the time-saving features and the less cell damage to the juice from the VRT (when I want to save time from the GS). I will be out of town all weekend, but will check back Sunday night when I get home. Good luck and happy juicing!! =) Can't wait !!! =) ***************************** "Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... ------------------------------------------------------- > Ok, I'm home! Where's the test results ???!!! I've juiced 4 pounds of Carrots with the VERT and the 8003. After drinking 8 cups (64 ounces) of Carrot Juice today, I'm going to juice the last 4 pounds with the 4000 tomorrow. Besides, my back is hurting and I'm sick of carrot juice, so I'm going to bed early. I'll have a full report by tomorrow night. The results so far indicate that the VERT is every bit as good as the 8003.....WY Re: Omega Juicers Comparison Test

Date: October 26, 2009 01:14AM Ouch!! I turned a deep shade of orange just READING your post!!! *LOL* =) I'd be nauseous after eating THAT much carrot juice. We appreciate your valiant juicer comparison juicer project, but please don't make yourself sick over it! *giggle* Glad to hear the good news about the VRT. Still waiting for mine to get here and Harrisburg is right down the road from me!! *pout* Oh well, it will get here when it gets here. =) ***************************** "Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...
