I've tried both, and prefer the 8006. The Vert is easier to use, by being self-feeding, but the 8006 has a more 'solid' feel, and is easier to clean. I only use my 8006 for Celery Juice. Demonstration videos show that Baby Carrots sometimes overload the Vert to the point of stopping it, and it is questionable if it would even accept full-size Carrots.....WY

I've done tons of full-sized carrots with the Vert and had no issues. That's when you may occasionally need the plunger to push it in instead of it sucking it in alone. But mainly it goes by itself like all of the other produce. They also have a reverse button if something did get stuck.

Don't know why anyone would use baby carrots for juicing anyhow since they barely give juice, not to mention they're washed in chlorine. But that's another subject.

Baby carrots were used for testing purposes. That's where
I noticed John Kohler's YouTube video on the Vert. I think once people
see this particular video (where full-size carrots are used), the 8006
is the clear choice. The Vert just 'sounds' flimsy.
John sells juicers at DiscountJuicers.com. I always buy from him when I can,
since he sponsors these forums.....WY

Well, I just purchased an Omega VRT330 from John and can honestly say, this juicer is far from flimsy. The build quality is first rate and I've seen many of the other juicers up close and personal.

When I said 'flimsy' I meant while it was juicing. I'm only
reporting my own observations. If you use the Omega VRT330 and the
Omega 8006 (chrome and black), or the Omega 8004 (in white), on a daily
basis, side-by-side, considering everything, the clear choice (for me)
is the 8006 (or 8004).....WY
P.S. The World has yet to find out how beneficial Juicing and Quantum
Eating are. No matter what Juicer you use.....use it!!!

Quantum Eating -

Probably the ideal way to go, but I'm not quite ready to restrict my diet to that extent yet...although I do agree that the less strain put on the body/digestive system, the better.

Mono eating = good. I practice that frequently. As for the Omega Vert...still trying to decide here...

The average Vegan (Fruitarian) here probably eats 10-times
more food than is needed for Optimum Health. However, for Quantum
Eating to work properly, Wheatgrass Juice should be included along
with Juice Feasting.

Yeah, that - & the fact that I was trying to save approx. $100 at that time!

Don't let money be a major factor.

"Quality is long remembered after Price has been forgotten."

Somebody said that....and how True....WY

I cannot recall why the Vert would be bought over the 8006...I love my 8006! It is light and yet durable (I have the chrome/black one). Just today I made carrot/Granny Smith apple/celery/ginger juice!
