Juice fasting,How exactly does it work?
Posted by: Anonymous User ()

Hey guys,

I'm totally new to this forum for the second time and I had just had some very pressing, very noob-like questions.

Here goes.

1) How exactly does a Juice fast work? What exactly happens in the body? When should one juice fast?

2) Can one juice fast on one's own or are there any things that one needs to watch out for when juice fasting? If so, what is there to watch out for(I have Gilbert's Disease btw)?

3) How long and how often should one juice fast for?

4) And most importantly, does anyone have any testimonial to share with regards to juice fasting. I know that this is not an AA meeting and I have been told that before but I can't help myself. I love success stories.

Thanks in advance

Hi Finale,
I'd recommend visiting www.juicefeasting.com for any questions you might have concerning juice fasting or juice feasting. It is a fantastic site with lots of information.
Best of luck!

I'm still curious to hear if anyone has any testimonials though.

I still plan to check the website out!

hi finale
i've done juice fasting before
i'll tell u about a 3 week fast i did
i did it with mostly veggie juice
but used carrots and apples to sweeten it

it was very intense
i felt like i was floating on air sometimes
at other times, i felt like my mind was being besieged by a phalanx of mean spirited angels

i felt light
i felt empty and sad sometimes
i felt elated and free and filled with a lot of hope at other times

i got a TREMENDOUS amount of significant and important things accomplished at VERRY surprisingly high quality

it seemed like time was slowwwing down
and i was able to do a LOT more in a shorter period of time

i was able to focus with greater clarity
had a good deal of energy and when energy waned, i would simply keep drinking juices til i got back to a better energy place

other times, the fasting itself enabled me to have reserves of unknown inner energy that i had access to

it wasn't easy
but it was worth it
and in a way, it was pretty darn easy too

its a double edged sword

you wanted a testimonial so this is all i will say on this matter

as far as all the nuts and bolts and crannies

i don't really care

just know that it did me god

have no clue about anyone else so don't ask me for any further advice or any other questions because i can't answer for anyone else and i've seen WWAAAAAAAYYYY too many debates on it to even try

read scientific journals on it for the nooks and crannies
read arnold ehret

read herbert shelton

both authors are into their subject

and their subject of choice is

fasting

I don't call an all juice diet fasting as it gives you all the nutrition you need.
And with the least amount of energy used to digest it. So you end up in a very euphoric state if the juices are balanced, drank at regular intervals and you started out in a relatively clean state.

Drinking just water is true fasting and I don't recomend it to any one.

I have done both and the former for 45 days. I did veggie juice sweetened with carrots and apple as laveronique mentioned. If you use lots of dark greens like kale, collards, parsely, you need that balance. I allso did the lemon diet or master cleanse at the same time.

Time for me to do this again.

Back2Eden,

It sounds very positive. The reason I'm asking is that over the past 2 years I've seen methods of curing 'incurable' diseases. Methods that actually work and that people are having great success with. To name a few, Hulda clarks method, food allergy elimination and dietary rotation, Chelation, candida diets, sterols and sterolins. Its truly amazing.

Although in theory, juice fasting is a very good method to stimlate detoxfication and healing. I am yet to see PROFOUND before and after cases with regards to juice fasting. I suppose I am looking for direction in this jungle of alternative therapies.

Wow,

that is very poetic, la_veronique smiling smiley

Perfectly said, nothing else needs to be added to that...

I have experienced much of the same on fasts that I have undertaken, particularly the master cleanse fast.

Now I'm really confused...

In theory, a juice fast should have tangible lasting benefits even after the fast is completed. Is anyone able to elaborate on this side of things?

Regards
Finale

If I could afford to, id do it at least 30 days, but all forms of produce and juie are pretty high up here as it costs a considerable amount more to ship the stuff here than it does most places, as everything has to be shipped in smaller than normal trucks...

i've done 2 weeks juice and smoothie only. and 1 week juice only. both times i lost massive amounts of weight, which is good because i am overweight. and what juice fasting does also, is cleanses you of all the toxins you have been carrying for so many years. juice fasting having long lasting effects is an UNDERSTATEMENT! it will save your life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
imagine drinking juice that you could live on for the rest of your life. but this juice also detoxes you !!!!! juice feasting is crucial in the early phases of raw, it stimulates the cleanse. if you are not raw or have never gone 100% at all, you MUST juice fast in my opinion or you may never know what the hurrah is all about !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Raw Lion 440 pounds to 225 pounds!

Another noob Question. Can ANYONE juice fast? If one has adrenal insufficiency issues then can one still juice fast? Also, if you are slightly underweight would this still be a good idea?
