Correct blender usage

Most people think that using a high power blender is enough to get a good smoothie. But there are some things that you may not be aware.

1 USING EXTENSION CORDS

If a blender uses 13A of current, using a long extension cord (or an extension power outlet) will significantly downgrade the voltage to the blender. That is, you will never get a fine enough product. This could also happens if your house has old wiring. This will downgrade your blender to a lower power blender. For example, if your blender had 3HP, it would be like using only 1HP and you would get little chunks.

2 LOADING TOO MUCH FOOD

There is not much written about this. But loading the blender with too much food can lower the performance of the blender with the result of little chunks in the product. The Product should always be liquid in the sense that you cannot detect little pieces in the mouth. Find the max capacity for your blender and stick to it. Don't be fooled by the container size that came with the blender. Do your own tests. Don't be fooled by youtube videos of people that don't know.

3 NOT USING ENOUGH TIME

Most people use the 40 second timer and think the blender is doing a good job. But most likely, you need 80 seconds at high speed to make a total liquid smoothie. So you would need to do it twice or use other setting.

FYI. Sometimes I've seen people complain about blenders that try to turn on the table. Then they say that those blenders are bad. But it is the opposite.

The GOOD blenders try to turn on the table because they have plenty of power. That is a GOOD blender. When the blender finishes the job, the blender rotates a little in the opposite direction. If a blender doesn't try to turn is probably a low power blender or something bad is going on. Sure, the suction cups help to adhere but they can only help so much depending on the surface. A heavy blender that rotates is a good sign.
