Wheatgrass seed

I want to order some wheatgrass seed. Just curious how much seed is used to grow a flat of grass? Something like the 21"x10" sized flat. Just trying to see how far 5 pounds of seed will go.

Ordered 10 pounds of seed so hopefully that will last me a while. I read somewhere last night that a pound should produce enough grass for a 2 oz shot of juice everyday for about 14 days. Does that sound right? So 10 pounds should last me about 5 months give or take.

You didn't tell us from whom you ordered it.
Not all seed is the same. Most bulk seed in the stores is a
Utility grade. The Premium grade is more difficult to find,
and grows a better blade of grass. I'm presently getting
my seed from Bob's Red Mill, but am looking for better.....WY

I ordered from WheatgrassKits dot com. They claim to be USDA certified organic so I hope everything turns out good. I actually ordered the seeds through their ebay store because shipping was $4 less than if I ordered directly from their website. I paid less that $30 shipped for the seed which I thought was a pretty good price considering some sites I checked out wanted as high as $8 per pound for seed.
