I made an interesting combo juice this afternoon:

Watermelon, cuke, celery, and lemon. I used the rind of the watermelon, also. I got the idea from Natasha St. Michael's Raw Radiant Health channel. She had lime instead of lemon and no celery. I just tweaked it to see how it would taste. I am not really feeling cukes in juices, which concerns me because they are low glycemic. I just think they take over the flavor of a juice combo. Celery is a bit more subtle. Oh well, I am sure it's really rehydrating, which is valuable with these 90-degree days we've been having!

that sounds pretty good!!! hey, have you tried just cuke and watermelon rind? I bet that would be pretty refreshing and they would compliment eachother.

Curator, I think that I would find it not sweet enough. The watermelon makes it palatable to me, but I do regret "wasting" it on juice instead of just eating the melon. Nothing better than sweet, firm watermelon on a hot day!smiling smiley

ahhh, you do have a point there!!! hmmm, I wonder how you could make it cool and refreshing and simple yet sweet enough...didnt sleep last night so my brain is working a bit slower today,lol... uhhhh.... if you grow your own stevia you could throw some whole leaves in the juicer while juicinggrinning smiley I made some cucumber and lemon balm juice the other day which I REALLY liked, it was cool and refreshing, although admittedly, not very sweet.

I always eat the melon, and then juice the rind.
By the way BW, what juicer are you using for all this?....WY

WY: I have the Omega 8006. I think I made a great decision! $300 with free shipping. I was afraid that reports that fruits didn't juice well and the feed chute was too small would pan out but the pulp is incredibly dry, the narrow chute simply means slicing stuff thinner, and it's very easy to assemble/clean. It's also whisper-quiet!

I have an Omega 8004 too. I just made some

late in the evening, but I felt like it.....WY
P.S. Finally, I feel like I'm learning how to eat.

Hey Curator, I've been meaning to ask you: what's the diff between the 8004 and 8006? I thought it was just the color. I had always heard all the hype about the Greenstar but I had budgeted that amount and I really want to stress that for a 15-year warranty, I think it's a great deal!

Oh and this juice combo is quite the diuretic. But that's good. It's also very hydrating at this time of year when the world is on fire!
