champion juicer report

This week I bartered some work for a friend in exchange fore a new household champion juicer. I just tested it for the first time.

I first put through a mixture of spinach and parsely, then celery, beets, cucumber, carrots. As long as you keep with the 2 main champion rules 1. don't feed it too fast and hold the tamper down untill the back pressure is gone each time- it works great. Everything went through quick and easy. No jamming, or heating. I had 2 quarts of juice in just a few minutes. When I took it apart I was suprised to find it was not jamed full of pulp and nothing was in the holes of the screen. There were no celery strings in it. Very quick and easy to clean.
Bottom line is I like this juicer so much I am not going to use my press any more.
The pulp from this machine is very dry, almost as dry as having been through a press. I liked that the housing has a stainless steel liner so almost no plastic to juice contact.

I think a Green Star is better than a Champion on so many levels. I'm glad you're juicing though because that's what's most important.

Cheers!

further testing results.

I took the pulp from the champion that made 2.5 quarts of juice and pressed it with the hand press I made. I got another 1/2 quart of juice!. So a am going to use the champion in juice mode plus my press from now on.

Part of it's proprietary to make it juice very fast. I could just remove that part, but then I need a camera.
