Anyone else not feeling cuke juice?
Posted by: banana who ()

Even when combined with carrot and other more yummy juices, I feel like cucumber juice brings down the taste. It is so watery that it dilutes sweetness. And the cuke taste is mighty strong! I am disappointed because I so wanted to love it. The abundance of water really adds to the volume.

You may enjoy it at a later time;

I go through "spells" where I am feeling a particular fruit/veg. but then later dislike it. I am currently into cuke juice.

But, I am strongly disliking avocados right now. Can't even stand the thought of eating one...

cuke is related to melon and i love the way it "tames down" strong green mixes.
i also mix cuke with melon rinds. melon rinds are loaded with good minerals. try adding a little jalapeno and evan garlic. sunflower sprouts also make a nice combo with cuke.

p.s. ...i didn't mean to add the jalapeno and garlic with the melon...i did that once and it was too strong to drink. the jalpeno and garlic thing is a nice touch for green type blends. you can add a little apple and lemon for a sweeter and smoother taste profile to the green drink tomato and celery gives sorta of a v8 type of flavor ...adding the cuke with red bell pepper with take it into another dimension.

hope that helps.

I've always found cucumber works well in juice. If you're using enough other produce you should have a very flavorful juice, not at all watered down. Maybe you're getting cucumbers with bitter skins. If so, peeling them may help. Or if they're not organic, try organic ones.

Yes, I agree. Plus, organic Cucumbers are
so expensive.
I've found Carrot Juice, or Celery Juice, with Greens
juiced along with it makes a strong, healthy drink....WY
