Date: January 23, 2011 08:26PM I just bought Vita-Mix's new Tritan, Copolyester, BPA-free
48-ounce container from Vita-Mix Corp....1-800-848-2649. It's a perfect size for one person, the 32-ounce being too small (for me anyway...I have been using a 48-ounce Polycarbonate container), and the 64-ounce too large. I'm as Happy as a Clam.....WY Re: I just spent $99.00

Date: January 28, 2011 08:33PM Yeah I'm well aware of the necessity of a little extra space, I used a food prep attachment for about a year (32 oz probably), blending in one go was impossible due to strength of motor and solids take up so much volumetric space compared to liquid. I basically had to blend a handful of fruits/veggies at a time and keep adding to the blend.
Having a 64 oz carafe seems ridiculously enormous to me. I put in way too much last night since I'm so accustomed to cramming as much as I can into the carafe.. Had 3 tall glasses and I had to drink it all since no one else was home. Felt like crap this morning lol. I think that was my weirdest blend too. 2 slices of bell pepper 1 brocoli 1 stalk of celery 5 kale leaves 1 teeny orange 1 banana cup of carrot juice 1 cup of ginger juice 1 handfull of blueberries (taste of bell pepper was very potent, so I added frozen blueberries which helped some, but weird resulting flavor, spicy blueberries hah) Re: I just spent $99.00

Date: January 29, 2011 10:28AM yeah, green bell pepper I find really potent, and after my first time trying it juiced, I didnt even try it blended... I DID make a kinda mexican-ish raw soup with bell pepper once...was tasty. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, mirror in the sky What is love?
