Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?

As far as I can tell they are considered great entry level juicers. Some think it's better to try one of these first to know if they want juicing as part of their lifestyle, then upgrade to a better one. Others would argue that getting a better juicer to begin with would save cash in both cost of the machine and the better juice yield (less waste of produce).

The biggest feature of the Jack LaLanne juicer is the wide chute meaning less work preparing the produce but it's questionable just how much less work and the quality of the juice is not going to be great compared to other juicers at around $400 price point.

If I received one I would probably try to sell it since it's a centrifugal juicer I believe (does not work very well for greens to my understanding) and get something better like an Omega 8006 or a Greenstar, those are the popular choices here and source of great controversy ;-).

I would say you have cause to be excited, juicing is a great way to get the more healthy foods in your diet, Any juicer that is used regularly is a powerful tool in detoxing/ healing and maintaining the body.

I just started juicing myself so I'll defer to those who have more experience.

sell it on Craigslist and use the money for something to get excited... e.g. a Blendtec.

My husband got me one quite some time ago and I really like it. It really extracts the juice, it's easy to clean, and you can throw huge amounts of stuff in at once. It was free, use the heck out of it!!! smiling smiley
