which juicer?

I live in England and am thinking about splashing the cash to buy a 'foxtrot oscar' juicer. I don't care about how long it takes to clean - I want the best system - ie the best extraction and the best for the quality of juice - if that makes sense. I do not want to juice wheat grass but I DO want to juice kale etc. I have a cheap juicer at the moment which does juice things but with enormous waste and certainly doesn't deal with leaves. It is a whizzy round thing and I imagine that I want a ' chewer' - sorry it's late at night and i cannot think of all the technical terms. Advice please for machines that I can get in the UK - if you know that is! Am having issues with eating the 'right things' and feel that I need to seriously juice to get myself back on track - does this make sense? Not sure what sugar ( dark chocolate) cravings are all about but have a strong urge to drink green juice. I've never really drunk this before as my juicer isn't up to it so I may be chasing rainbows here - it's just a feeling. Might be an expensive experiment!! Re: which juicer?

I'd advise everyone to use a Juicer that they enjoy using, and is made to juice what they're juicing. For example....I like the spinning-basket (centrifugal) juicers for hard vegetables and juicy fruits, and the Auger (both single and twin-gear) juicers for Greens......WY Re: which juicer?

I too have a centrifical force juicer for hard veggies and a single auger for fruit and greens. There isn't really one single juicer that does an amazing job with everything, though that upright one (Vert?) that John Kohler demos looks pretty great. The best juicer for you depends on what you want to juice and again John Kohler has great comparison charts and videos showing yield, ease of use etc. For the kale and other leaves would you consider using them in smoothies instead of or along with juicing? That's a great way to increase greens and minerals in the diet. The chocolate cravings may be about magnesium, check to see how much of that you're getting in daily diet. Minerals are the name of the game and that's what greens are all about. Re: which juicer?

They are one in the same juicer except that Omega upgraded the basket, making it of the same material as the Auger... Good juicer, I like it as well. Re: which juicer?

Are you sure that's the only difference? The original VERT350 has a rubber plug that I didn't notice in the VERT350HD upgrade? Does anyone here know for sure?......WY Re: which juicer?

I just saw that the original vertical-auger from Omega is model VRT330, not VERT350 as I stated above. I like the self-feed feature. My horizontal-auger Omega 8004 is difficult to use when juicing Carrots......WY Re: which juicer?
