plunger help

Hi.

I have a Hamilton Beach Tempest. It is very nice but it does not come with a plunger (HB doesn't make one for this model). It does a super nice job but if I add too much green, then it needs the extra help. Any ideas where I could get a plunger?

Thanks

You don't need a Plunger (or Tamper, as Vitamix calls it). You have a nice Blender that pulls the ingredients to the Blade, creating a good Vortex, or whirlpool. If your Greens cause Cavitation (preventing the whirlpool), simply turn off the machine, and push the Greens down using a Spatula, or a Wooden Spoon. If all the ingredients are chopped, but still won't blend, it's a sign that more water is needed.
I never need to use my Tamper while my Vitamix is running.
I'd like to hear how others handle the Plunger Issue......WY

Thanks. If I cut the green leafs into small pieces then I don't need the plunger. But if I put whole big green leafs, then I need to push with something. So yeah, I don't really need a plunger but it would be nice to have just in case. Some people on videos put whole big leafs in and then they relly on pushing the plunger.

Vitamix makes two Plungers, and Blendtec has one for their blenders, made out of wood, but not made by Blendtec. There's a chance one of the three might work for your Hamilton Beach......WY
