What fruits can I blend a beet with?

I want to throw a beet (with greens) in the blender with some fruit and these things are expensive so I don't want to waste one. So which fruit would go good with it?

Beet is very high in fiber,(& practically inedible in it's natural whole raw state)
and fruit is very high in sugar, & thus digests quickly (or risks fermentation)
therefore the combination is not recommended.
Although, I suppose you might get away with one beet with a lot of apples
to make a red applesauce?

However if you don't mind using 2 machines,
you can first make Beet juice, with your juicer, thus removing the fiber
and then blend that juice with banana to make a delicious & beautiful drink.
Add a little ice or water if necessary.

Beet juice is a very potent juice and should never be drunk straight, or in large quantity.

I sometimes juice a beet root with my carrots. Go easy....like 1 part beet to 10 parts carrot. Beets are 'strong' and rather 'messy', staining everything. I'm not so sure they're that good for you.....it's something about the feeling I get in my throat. I wouldn't mix beets with fruit......WY

hi

try this. (you will need a juicer)

1 beet
3 apples
1/2 lemon
4 cabbage leaves(whole)
6 carrots
beet tops (twin gear or single gear juicers only)

it will be a'bumpy ride" using a single gear,(but possible) so please consider using a twin gear such as greenstar which has the highest recommendations from the people who are serious about their juicing.

a centrifugal juicer will not do the beet tops and cabbage very well and will also waste much of the other ingredients too. twin gear is your best.

as far as the blending goes. it will be quite thick and will need to be diluted with a liquid such as water. you could leave out the apples and substitute organic apple juice such as that which you would get at a health food market.

Eh. Forget it then. The whole point of blending it was so I didn't have to spend 2hrs with the juicer. I usually do juice with carrots and apples and celery.
