I want to make ice cream

Date: March 13, 2007 12:00PM I am looking for a machine to make ice cream/nut butters. What would you guys recommend? Champion? Green Star?
I already have a Breville Juicer that I am happy with.. are there any ice cream makers out there that make ice creams just as good as one of the expenisive juicers? Re: I want to make ice cream

You need the juicers to get the juice (Champion, GreenStar) and then you need an ice cream maker to get it cold and icy. Get one with its own engine for cooling. We got one some time ago and made lots of ice... But keep in mind: ice (cream) isn't that good for your intestines... Re: I want to make ice cream

Date: March 28, 2007 06:17PM Champion or Omega 8003 make great ice-cream. Nut butters are a lot harder for juicing machines to crank out.
There are some great expensive ice-cream makers out there (check out Zabars.com)but they are super expensive. If you've got a real ice-cream jones, I would try using your food processor first. Just whirl your frozen fruits in there, adding a few TBS of water if needed, till creamy. Perfect all the time. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
