you would need a very fine grater which i have seen used with the bircher benner diet. carrots are grated very fine and then squeezed with a piece of cloth by hand. finding the right cloth would be important. i have seen hemp cloth bags used for growing sprouts which are very sturdy and yet the fibers are far enough apart to aloow the jice to seep out. sproutman sells these hemp sprouting bags and they are relatively inexpensive. do it! maybe your husband will see you struggling and saying something like...why the heck dont you just buy a a juicer and..your peoblems will be solved. don't waste your money on acheap one uless you really have to. in that case try to find one at a second hand store...cheap juices are a bad investment unless you get them second hand and use them on a temporary basis, good luck! juicin' john Re: newbee needing help

Date: July 14, 2007 05:27AM and you can save the ridicoulous prices on meat and buy cheaper veggies and fruits per/lb and put a bit away every week to buy a super duper juicer
if you cant juice for now then eat your stuff as it is .. its not a MUST to have a juicer to incorperate more raw foods in your diet dont use the lack of equipment as an excuse not to eat better ...Jodi, the banana eating buddhist Re: newbee needing help

Date: July 14, 2007 01:46PM Thank you all, I have been trying to just do whole foods. I seem to get full fast and be hungry more often. Is this excected?
I was blaming my woes on the endless series of minor medical proceedures that I can't seem to escape lately. I thought this change in eating would help me turn that all around. Besides, this site is full of friendly, helpful people who all seem sincere. No competetive undertones. You are all great, must be something you're eating. God bless you all! Re: newbee needing help
