Juicing Broccoli

Does anyone juice broccoli? I read one resource that says to steam it first. Does it need to be?

I tried searching the archives here and didn't find anything on the topic. Any insight one could offer is appreciated.

Thank you.

Patty

Do you steam it first or just raw as is?

Hi Sewraw

I never steam Broccoli I juice it raw. I also add raw Broccoli whole as well as broccoli juice to my fruit smoothies as its fairly tasteless in small quantities.

Broccoli has a lot of anti cancer properties and is one of the best vegetables you can eat.

It is regarded as a superfood by many.

I juice Broccoli when making my homeade V8 juice........

Not sure if I would drink too much of it as the major ingredient in a drink...but mixed with carrots, tamatoes, lemon, beets, celery, and spinich...its delicious!

Broccoli would make a good ingredient in a Green Smoothie. So would Brussel Sprouts. I wouldn't juice either one......WY
