turnips and beets... and broccoli ???

Date: June 17, 2006 01:02AM As far as the turnips and beets go, I'd dice them up with some onions in a salad, or a lettuce wrap. The broccoli, I would plant some basil around it. If I remember correctly, that is a repellant plant for caterpillars. Re: turnips and beets... and broccoli ???

Date: June 18, 2006 12:53PM they did some interplanting, but after it has been picked, there are little caterpillars and some webbing still in the broccoli. they soaked it in salt water, but there are still some resilient litter buggers there )

Date: June 26, 2006 12:02AM beets: wherever you use carrots, delicious in soups, salads, juices, kimchi, wraps...
turnips, mashed turnip, ravioli wrappers, chips, breads... Try slicing the turnips into very thin slices, but with as wide a diameter as possible. Then dehydrate til chewy, top with nut butter and herbs or oil, salt and garlic, then dehydrate a bit more. Voila! Garlic bread. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
